FAQ

A character stopped replying in the chat. What do I do?

Check your internet connection first — the characters need it to think. If the connection is fine, close the app completely and reopen it. Still silent? Write to us at support@toonlabs.co.

Do the characters really remember what I did?

Yes. Once you've met someone in a story, they carry what happened between you into your conversations — the choices you made, the deals you took, the lies you told. That's the point of them. They only know the parts of the story you've actually played, so no spoilers from chapters ahead.

A character said something strange or inaccurate. Why?

Their replies are generated by AI. They try their best, but they can occasionally get facts wrong or say something odd. They're here for the story and the company — not as a source of professional advice. If a reply feels inappropriate, use the report button on the message, or email us a screenshot, and we'll make them better.

I've run out of messages in a chat. How do I get more?

Free chats have a message limit shared across all your characters. You can unlock more by completing simple tasks in the app — they're listed right in the app when you reach the limit.

I reinstalled the app and my progress is gone.

If you were reading without signing in, your progress lives on that device's guest profile, and reinstalling can break the link to it. Signing in with your email keeps everything safe and lets you pick up where you left off. If you've lost progress you care about, write to us — sometimes we can find it.

How do I turn character notifications on or off?

Characters message you when there's a reason to — and they ask your permission first, in their own words. You can change your mind at any time in Settings → Notifications, or in your iOS system settings.

How do I delete my account and my data?

Open Settings → Delete Account in the app. You can also email us at support@toonlabs.co from the address linked to your account. Deletion removes your profile, your progress and your entire chat history. It's permanent — we can't restore a deleted account.

When do new chapters and stories come out?

We're writing as fast as the story lets us. New chapters and new stories arrive with app updates — keep notifications on and a character will probably tell you first.

What age is this app for?

ToON Novels is intended for readers aged 16 and over. The stories deal with adult themes — crime, manipulation, romance — and the characters don't always behave well.
